Past - The artifact I chose for my past is a memory from when I was younger. As I was growing up, I was constantly surrounded by my family and relatives being owners for different businesses. My dad at the time owned a bigger business called Keystone Sanitation, my grandfather owned Kile's Disposal and the Creekside family restaurant in Orangeville, my grandmother owned a salon, uncle owned a power washing company, and my aunt owned her own cleaning business and my other grandfather owned an archery shop. As I was growing up, I just knew right away that I wanted to grow up like all my family members and own my own business. They each knew I was really into the business-y feel and they left me help them out by doing small things. I started off in my dad's office helping him sort paperwork, answer phones, and doing whatever it was that he needed me to do. Growing up being surrounded with business owners, I honestly couldn't see myself going into any other field. Which is why I have chosen to go to college for business management.
Present - Throughout high school I have taken several different AP courses and courses here at Bloomsburg University. I tried all different types of classes, not only to get college credit and learn more things, but to also make sure that I was not as interested in any other "pathway". I took a class at my high school that was strictly about business. After taking all the other classes, I just knew that I was set on Business, which has led me to wanting to major in Business management here at Bloomsburg University.
Future - I hope to one day graduate with my masters degree in Business Management and move somewhere out of state to start a business. I'm not positive on what types of businesses yet, but I have a pretty good idea. I don't only want to be successful in the future, but most importantly I want to be happy. I know I will be happy with my decision and it sounds crazy but I can't wait to take that type of responsibility. If I start a business and it becomes successful my dream would to be to open multiple ones.
